The Hungarian Tamás Fehér (46y) is a weightlifter coach with substantial international experiences. He started weightlifting at age 13 and participated in competitions, with small interruptions, until 41 years of age.
He became weightlifting coach at age 20 and received his first international coaching assignment at age 29. The major international assignments of his weightlifting coaching carrier are as follows: National coach of Honduras , 1989; National coach of the junior Hungarian team, 1991-1992; Head coach of National team of El Salvador, 1992-1994 and again in 1999-2000; Head coach of the National team of Norway , 2003-2004.
As representative of the IWF and IOC Olympic Solidarity he has taught 19 international coaching courses and seminars for weightlifting coaches in 12 countries (Honduras, 1989 & 1991; Costa Rica, 1990 & 1992; Panama, 1990; Salvador, 1991 & 1997 & 1999; Puerto Rico, 1995 & 1997 & 2002, Philippines 1998, Dominican Republic, 2000, Zambia 2001, Norway 2002 & 2003, Saudi Arabia 2004, Peru 2005, Ecuador 2006).
He has a number of professional publications in several languages, the most important of which are his coaching handbooks. His latest work is " Tamas Feher 's Olympic weightlifting".
He completed his university studies and received his Master’s Degree with emphasis on Sport Science and coaching of weightlifting at the University of Physical Education , Budapest , Hungary .
He is trilingual in Hungarian English and Spanish.
He is married and has three children: Anita (23y), Tamás Jr. (5y) and Ádám (9m).
